It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather Clifford McDougall on September 12, 2014 at the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital surrounded by loved ones. Born in New Waterford on February 1, 1939, he was the son of the late Clifford and Frances (Nearing) McDougall. Clifford was an avid gardener, spending a lot of time there. He also loved playing golf with friends. Clifford was a handyman his whole life. He could fix about anything he put his hand on. Clifford is survived by his loving wife Leona (McPhee) McDougall, sons Tommy (Gail), David (Cindy), Donald (Kim), all of New Waterford, Michael, Ont, daughter Kim (Paul), Alberta, sisters June DuBois, Florida, Cathy (Micky) Cashen, Antigonish, brothers Albert (Maureen), Irving (Brenda) and Donald (Mary). He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his daughter Debra Hart, son Clifford Ticky, brothers Jackie and Verty, grandson Martin Hart and brother in-law George DuBois. Cremation has taken place. There will be a chapel service on September 15, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the McLellan Brothers Chapel with Fr. Ray Huntley officiating. Burial will be held in St. Agnes Cemetery followed by a reception at the K.O.C, Plummer Ave. All are welcome Funeral arrangements are under the direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford. In lieu of flowers donations in Cliffords memory can be made to a charity of ones choice.
