Buma, Irene (Ymkje). Peacefully on Thursday, June 5, 2014, Irene was welcomed into the arms of her Saviour from the West Haldimand General Hospital, Hagersville, in her 96th year. Irene (nee Rienstra) was a resident of Parkview Meadows, Townsend and formerly of Hamilton. Wife of the late Donald (Douwe) (1994). Beloved mother of Edna Salverda of Tillsonburg, Peter and Bonnie Buma of Fruitland, Paul and Grace Buma of Dunnville, Shirley and Claude Helder of Morrisburg, John and Wilma Buma of Hamilton, Gertie and Bill Bootsma of Forest, Trixie and Glenn Penny of Simcoe and Barb Buma of Simcoe. Loving grandmother of 54 grandchildren, 76 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren. Sister of Geb Faber of Holland. Irene was predeceased by son Sam Buma, sons-in-law Peter Salverda and Johannes Stapensea, grand daughter-in-law Wanda Salverda and her son Scott, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Friends are invited to call at Cooper Funeral Home, 19 Talbot St. W., Jarvis on Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. A family interment service will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens followed by the Funeral Service at Ebenezer Christian Reformed Church, Jarvis on Monday June 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor John Huyser officiating.
